Show Me Your Friends

This one will wake  you up!  This morning I watched a video of a Glenn Beck presentation on the friends of obama.  Glenn Beck does a good job of showing why obama is not the biggest problem our country faces.
He does this with plenty of solid research and direct quotes.

Even The Unions

Even the Unions are forced to accept the right thing, sometimes.  Chrysler has fired 13 auto workers who were caught drinking and smoking pot during their lunch break.  They were caught red-handed by Fox News Detroit.  Without the pressure of nationwide media coverage, I suspect that the jobs would not have been terminated.  Chalk up one for the right side.

Maybe next week they can nab another group!

Crashing Hollywood Idol Lindsay Lohan

Another Hollywood Idol crashes and burns, again.  They start off young and beautiful and have everything going for them.  They they tend to get arrogant and conceited and come to the conclusion that they are invincible and their is no pleasure they should be denied.  But in the end, they pay the price, and it is a huge price.  This is not funny and I do not mock Lindsay Lohan or wish her anything bad.  This is sad, and dangerous for those who follow.

Mourning in America

The sobering truth is that this President and this Congress are destroying our country.  The damage they are doing exceeds that of 9/11.  It is time for change, and that change consists of driving out of office anyone choosing to line up with obamanism.

Besides the Brawl

There was a brawl between Harry Reid supporters and Sharron Angle supporters in Nevada.  Imagine democrats and the Tea Party having different perspectives about the upcoming election.

Rev. Robin, who arranged the political forum had this to say:

"I didn't expect anything like this, not in a million years," said the Rev. Robin Joyce, one of the organizers of the event at Faith Lutheran Junior/Senior High School in Summerlin. "Our whole aim was to have an educational forum to hear from the candidates about their economic positions."

What struck me as bizarre is the notion that you need an "educational forum" to understand the economic position of Dingy Harry.  His record is clear.  His record is long, lasting and corrupt.  Anybody who doesn't care enough to learn that probably isn't intelligent enough to participate in the forum.  Wake Up, People!  In some cases, arranging such a forum is a really bad idea.

About the brawl

The Brown Bailout

The Brown Bailout is an effort by the Teamsters (which control UPS) to harm their competition, Fed Ex.  There is a different regulatory basis for the two delivery services, which is why Fed Ex has been able to remain non-union.  This is explained more in the source link below.

Well, I am all for non-union, and totally opposed to any bill that would benefit unions like the Teamsters.  Unions are harmful to many for the benefit of a few.  It would not be good to have the same union controlling both of these high volume delivery services.

A Room Full of Success

A friend of mine on mylot, took a look around her room and found these seven challenges toward success.  I think they are pretty good and a reminder for us all.

1. Roof said to me, "Aim High!"
2. Fan said to me, "Be Cool!"
3. Clock said to me, "Every minute is Precious!"
4. Mirror said to me, "Reflect before you Act."
5. Window said to me, "See the World."
6. Calendar said to me, "Be up to Date!"
7. and Door said to me, "Push hard to Achieve your Goals!!!!"

Have a successful day.

KFC Double Down Is Not Enough

KFC has a marketing campaign riding on the note-worthy buns of some college girls.  How could this fail on a college campus?  In a MyLot discussion I was motivated to suggest that KFC might not want to stop there.

Please do not be offended if this a bit overboard.  Just having fun.

Obama the Spendaholic

Obama is just like an immature person that has just learned how easy it is to go to an ATM and withdraw money.  Their is a tendency to just keep going back, because you can always think of more things you 'need'.

That's how Obama is, but he does it in billions!  Wanting to begin healthcare implementation, he says he needs another $20 billion dollars.  I thought there was some massive chunk of the stimulus funds that was supposed to cover healthcare.  Where did all the stimulus money go, since it is apparently gone?

America, you have been SCREWED!

More Billions!

USA USA USA USA USA

A chicken hawk chant?  Some idiot professor at the University of Illinois criticized students chanting this at a football game.  He said it is not being sensitive (rather offensive) to the Muslims.

This is the hard and fast fact every American better get a hold of.  The day we cannot chant USA USA, is the day we start a massive exportation of Muslims and any other anti-American.

Being Tracked

Although I live somewhere in the vicinity of Toledo, Ohio, I am currently on a business trip to Denver, Colorado.  My internet access is through the wireless service of the hotel I am staying at.  When I posted the previous entry, the google ad that appeared almost immediately was for a Denver deal of the day.  So how did whoever know I was in Denver, or is that just coincidence.

I suggest that the IP address I am connected through indicated Denver and that was used by Google ads to place the Denver ad in my post.  Will that change when I go back home.

Learn something new everyday, don't we!

Response To The Pledge To America

Today the GOP is releasing the details of their new Pledge to America.  It is a good solid platform aimed at what will restore the economy of the U.S.  It is not aimed at social issues, but thankfully will eliminate federal funding of the murder of babies.

Rep. Steny Hoyer (worthless dem) issued a mocking comment which was full of generalized false stereotypes often used by the democrats.  It is so typical, dems just spout their worn out buzz phrases and cannot even talk intelligently.

More success for the GOP, if they are going to rise to the challenge and stand for the values that America Great.

I am looking for some new friends at MyLot, and specifically for those who share my pro-America, anti-obama views of life.

Here is my list so far:

Locker Room Surprise!

She goes into the locker room of the New York Jets, and she felt like the men were watching her.  Where would one start to educate the reporter from Mexico.  I guess men in Mexico would consider this dressing modestly.

Now she has made it a cause to protect other women.

''I don't want to make it a bigger deal,'' she said. ''I have confidence in the NFL and the Jets' management and I know that this will serve as a precedent so that this does not happen to another women.''

T.E.A Party - Australian Style

According to an article in the Australian, the TEA Party movement is underway in Australia. TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already. It is a grass roots movement that started in the United States where it is giving the people a fresh voice for the government to hear. The TEA Party movement is mostly conservative, but its focus is on issues that both Republicans and Democrats (those that can think for themselves) want to stand behind.

They focus on these three questions:
  • What should be the role of government in the economy?
  • What should be the role of government in people's lives?
  • Do you believe that you can spend your money better than the government?
The TEA Party is not a political party, but rather a political movement hoping to influence existing political parties. The group does back individual politicians, but so far they are not saying who that will be in Australia.

I think this will be a positive thing for the Australian people and their government. I hope it proves to be so.

Below are links to the source article and their new website.

Kalooki Nights

by Howard Jacobson

Do you like things Jewish?  Then you might like this book.  There is lots of dialogue from Max Glickman about being raised Jewish and what that means.  Unlike his best friend, Max was not raised as a strict Jew, rather his father taught him how to keep it mild and not be a fanatic.  You can read below and see where the story goes, but the honest truth is, this is one of a few books that I did not even bother to finish.  There is a fair amount of swearing in the text, most of which serves no purpose but to offend the ear.

From the book cover:

"Life should have been sunny for Max Glickman, growing up in peacetime with his mother's glamorous card evenings to look forward to, and photographs of his father's favourite boxers on the walls.  But other voices whisper to him of Buchenwald, extermination, and the impossibility of forgetting.  Fixated on the crimes that have been committed against his people, but unable to live among them, Max moves away, marries out, and draws cartoon histories of Jewish suffering in which no one, least of all the Jews is much interested.  But it's a life, or it seems a life until Max's childhood friend Manny is released from prison."

A False Sense Of Well Being

by Jeanne Braselton

This was an interesting read as far as seeing people think, say and do, but for me not a top notch.  Jessie Maddox is dealing with a boring marriage, and at the same time comparing her life to a married friend having an affair and a sister who parties with lots of guys.  I would imagine there are plenty of women that have gone through a similar kind of life analysis at some point.  The book is well written and seems real to life.

Book Cover Summary:
"Thirty eight year old Jessie Maddox seems to live the perfect suburban life in her quiet Georgia town.  But her husband, Turner, the very model of a dutiful partner and responsible citizen, is terribly dull.  Jessie can't stop thinking of all the ways Turner might die and the opportunities she would have to play the grieving widow.  Before doing something she'll regret, she heads to her Alabama hometown to regroup.  But her family doesn't exactly provide the vacation she needs."

Watch the Quran Burn

In this world of endless video clips, I fully expect we will be able to watch the 'burning of the Quran' tomorrow.  I am not sure who will be the first to do it, but certainly someone will torch the Koran and video record it for all to see on YouTube.

Maybe it will be Pastor Bob Old from Springfield, TN.  More power to him.  It is a wake up call that is desperately needed!

Comment:  Hardly dramatic, I did find this video of one brave American.  Listen to the nastiness coming from the media people around him.  They, like Obama, believe that religious freedoms are primarily for the Muslims.  This guy did alright!

Duncan Philp Stands Tall in Wyoming

Time to Burn?

Burn Koran Burn Quran Burn Koran Burn Quran - Saturday 9/11

Duncan Philp, founder of the Wyoming Tyranny Response Team, intends to burn a copy of the Koran on the steps of the State Capitol on Saturday.

He is protesting the location of a proposed Islamic Center near Ground Zero.  He is also protesting President Balack Obama's support for the location.

Congratulations to Duncan Philp.  Maybe him and a whole lot more will stand opposed to a Muslim Victory Monument on the site of 9/11.  It is truly amazing that the African President still doesn't see the issue, or does he?  Obama and his type have fought for many years against religious freedom for Christians in the U.S.  This is just another shot at it!
