Mindfulness




We cannot change the past, can we?  We are most in control of our present, and how we handle the present will directly influence our future.  Mindfulness is a tool we can use to reduce our tendency toward negative thoughts.  Negative thoughts are a detriment to our present and our future.

Mindfulness involves paying attention to and being aware of what you are doing right now.  Think about what you are doing.  Analyze the feelings and thoughts you have in this current situation.  Determine positive elements about your current activity and be aware of any negative thoughts.  This exercise in focus will help you have better control of your mind and help keep your thoughts on the positive side.
