Queen On The Rocks?

As some European countries go bankrupt and others struggle to keep their ship afloat, new legislation in England is going to put the Queen on a fixed budget, and actually a decreasing budget.  The law actually changes the formula by which her budget has been determined.  It appears that she may be reduced to holding bake sales on weekends.

The good news is that she will now qualify for American food stamps.  She need only ask (if she can!).  Must be really tough for her to understand why the people cannot just give her more of their income.

The keeper of the privy purse, Sir Alan Reid, is convinced that this cut in funding will make it very difficult for the Royal Household to maintain their list of activities in support of the Queen and her estate.  I wonder if Sir Alan Reid is getting some coaching from Congress.  I hear the same tone in the whining.  One of their core beliefs is that what they do is so important that certainly no one could ask them to cut back and make do.  Even the budget Super Committee could not cut a buck out of the budge in the U.S.  Bear in mind that the environmental whack job Prince Charles will be of no use in times like these.  Almost seems like the Royal Household may be going the way of unions.

You can read more here, but I think the bunch of them are just silly.  If England is anything like America, 95% of the population probably no longer appreciates the Queen, especially with the high percentage of Muslim immigrants.
