My two cents: It is a real journey for Amy. She spends a lot of time and energy sorting out her life. She is who she is because of her grandmother and father, and her rough childhood. She is successful in her career, but has to work out the situation with a serious boyfriend and her mother. The author does a good job with all of these intense life issues. My only complaint is that sometimes the descriptions go on and on. Sometimes guys like the shorter explanation. You will enjoy the book, and for the most part it is a happy ending.
